DEATH OF 3 JEEPNEY DRIVERS IN PANGASINAN INVESTIGATED DUE TO HEAT STROKE

Three jeepney drivers in Pangasinan allegedly died due to heat stroke caused by the sweltering heat, according to GMA Regional TV’s Claire Lacanilao ’s report on “24 Oras.”

The One Pangasinan Transport Federation (OPTF) is now investigating if the deaths of two drivers from Calasiao town and one driver from eastern Pangasinan are connected to the high heat indices experienced over the country.

(We always remind them to rest and to not force themselves to work.)

PAGASA earlier said dangerous level of heat indices of up to 47°C is expected over 30 areas on Monday, May 6.

Dapat handa po sila laging may dalang tubig,” said Dagupan Health Officer Ophelia Rivera.

(Workers who are exposed to the sun such as traffic aid, policemen, delivery riders, jeepney drivers should drink plenty of water.)
